The glaciers have finally receded from latitude and we've actually had 4 warm days in a row. Time to get to work on the 2017 RZR.
First task was to install the Viper Max 3500lb winch the grandkids got for us for Christmas. I'm not sure how a 4 year old ordered it on a Black Friday special and used my credit card but that's my story & I'm sticking to it. :devil That job went pretty smooth & the kit was pretty straight forward to install after watching a couple Y'alltoob vids. I chose not to install the rocker switch opting instead for the remote switch only.
I've read up a bit on what is required to ride at Silver Lake Sand Dunes here in Michigan and according to the webpage, a flag is required on the front. That will require a mount. My issue is that the RZR overall length is critical as I have to be able to get it in the 10 feet long bay of the toy hauler. I fab'd a swivel mount the can easily swing out and then back in for transport.

Stainless hardware was used to install it to the frame just above the new winch.

A Home Depot Husky sealed lexan storage box was added under the hood. I simply pop riveted the box to two pieces of aluminum angle stock and tie wrapped them to the radiator supports. Total cost $12. It fits perfectly under the hood. Note also, a spare drive belt on the right and a can of Fix A Flat on the left - again, tie wrapped to the frame.

A small shovel fits nicely behind the passenger seat and is secured with a rubber bungee (hooks removed). The pack between the seats contains a first aid kit & there is room for several water bottles.

Last thing to be added was a 3 inch PVC tube that was made from a repurposed tent. My wife sewed a fitted cover for the cab. It needed little flat black paint because she said "The white looks ugly on my RZR". Some heavy duty tie wraps fastened it to the cage.
