I recently put 30" Tensors and 14" 5+2 Method 401 beadlocks on my 2015 S900.
I definitely noticed reduced acceleration and reduced suspension performance from the much heavier tires but why do I need a clutch kit? The fact is the RZR still runs fine, still goes plenty fast, still goes slow over rocks, still climbs hills just fine, etc.
Exactly what can a clutch kit do? It can't make the engine stronger, it can't change the gear ratios. My clutch starts to engage at about 1650 RPM, I understand that a kit would increase the RPMs at engagement, but what good is that? I like the 1650 RPM engagement so I can start off slow when I want to. If the engine is revving higher at engagement all that does is put more stress on the clutch parts, no??
I can see that a tune (if they actually work) would be good, more power is always good and maybe a tune is a better idea than a clutch kit? I have never seen or been in a RZR with a clutch kit or a tune so I really do not understand what they do.
Will appreciate some schooling, thanks!
